Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation hosts Inaugural Practical Pistol Competition

Speed, power and accuracy: Three elements of the practical shooting triangle were well balanced last Saturday 25th October, 2014 at the GDF’s Timehri Ranges when the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation successfully hosted its Inaugural Practical Pistol Match.

The match was declared open by GSSF’s President Vidushi Persaud and after some brief remarks from Vice President Michael Blake, things got underway.

Following the Latest Edition of Practical Shooting Handgun Rules, the competitors enjoyed an afternoon with wonderful weather under cool but overcast skies while safely engaging targets in three dynamic stages.

TROPHY STALL DONATES TROPHIES FOR G.S.S.F.’s INAUGURAL PRACTICAL PISTOL MATCH

On Monday 20th October, 2014, Owner and Managing Director of Trophy Stall located at Bourda Market, Georgetown, Mr. Ramesh Sunich generously donated to the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation trophies for their upcoming Inaugural Practical Pistol Match to be held on Saturday 25th October 2014 at the GDF Yarrowcabra Ranges, Timehri.

At a simple hand-over ceremony Monday afternoon, Mr. Ramesh Sunich who is well known for his contributions to the development of sports in Guyana, handed over the Trophies to the Foundation’s Board members. Mr. Steve Ninvalle, Secretary of the G.S.S.F. accepted the Trophies on behalf of the Foundation and thanked Mr. Ramesh Sunich for his involvement in and support of sport shooting in Guyana.
