Steel Challenge

The Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation will be hosting the first Costume Steel Challenge Shooting Match on Halloween, Saturday 31^st October, 2015 at the GDF Timehri Range. The themed competition has been exclusively sponsored by B.M Soat Auto Sales and is expected to be a keenly contested one. Participants invited are expected to take part donning costumes of their liking.

Costumes can range from very simple such as funny hats, special shoes, to the more elaborate and even terrifying in keeping with the theme. The rules of the Steel Challenge Shooting Association a sister body of the United States Practical Shooting Association are expected to be adhered to along with safe firearm handling throughout.

The Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation hosted yet another Steel Challenge Shooting Match sponsored by Queensway on Saturday 29^th August, 2015 at the GDF Timehri Range. In spite of 40 minutes being lost to heavy rainfall, the entire match was completed safely. Shooters on hand deemed it a fun and successful event which ended in a surreal tropical sunset.

The Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation (G.S.S.F.) in commemoration of their 1^st Anniversary, on Saturday 27^th June, 2015, hosted a Steel Challenge Shooting Association Tier 1 Match which was exclusively sponsored by El Dorado Trading of Lot 136 Young Street, Kingston, Georgetown.

One of the attractions of this GSSF’s First Anniversary Match, was that members shooting full power handguns (Limited Division) were competing for the privilege of holding the El Dorado Trading Steel Challenge Cup.
