Just a few weeks ago the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation received a National Sports Award for the Most Improved Association for 2015 and there is no question that merely a few months later, Sport Shooting has once again been taken to an even higher level in Guyana after Saturday’s successful hosting of Guyana’s first 3-Gun Match.

On Wednesday 4th May, 2016, at the National Cultural Centre, the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation received a National Sports Award for the 'Most Improved Foundation/Association".

The Grammy style Awards Ceremony was hosted by the National Sports Commission with the Winners of the various categories being revealed the same evening.

Saturday 2^nd April, 2016 marked yet another successful Steel Challenge match held by the Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation which was sponsored by Jus Waters Inc. Shooters competed in the Limited Division (requiring the use of 9mm or higher caliber pistols). Trophies were up for grabs for the Overall 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place Winners together with a special Trophy for the best performing and Highest Law Enforcement personnel.
